How to get an Aadhar card for children.



The Aadhar card is an important document as far as Indian citizens are concerned. It is being used to prove the identity of Indian citizens irrespective of their age group. Now, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has taken the initiative for obtaining aadhar cards for the age group from newborn to five years old. The children who are below five years of age don't require the biometrics such as fingerprint and I-ris in order to get an aadhar card. Whereas the parents' photos and address are used to issue children's aadhar cards.



Documents are mandatory for applying for children's aadhar cards?

There is a little documentation required to apply for children's aadhar cards. Those are: The school certificate with date of birth and photos, parents' aadhar card details, address proof of parents and identification proof as well. 



Documents required for getting aadhar card for children between five to fifteen.

The parents have to submit the children's birth certificate and school identity proof while applying for their aadhar card or bonafides certificate that is obtained from the institute. 



Documents are valid for address proof.

Parents' aadhar card, The address proof on the letter head with child's photographs must be signed by MLA, MP, Thahasildar or Any Gazetted officer or equivalent authority. 
There is no specific fee for obtaining childrens' aadhar cards. 



How to submit the application. 

Ensure that all the required documents are in hand. 

Go to UIDAI website

> select get aadhar option 
> click on book appointment option 
> after giving location information, click on the proceed button to book the appointment. 
>Then select the new aadhar option 
> give the mobile number and generate OTP number 
> fill up the personal information columns 
> click proceed 
> select the appointment date and slot as per your convenience 
> clock on the next button 
> after verifying all the given details, press the submit button to get the appointment. 

After completing all the online process, visit the aadhar enrollment center and complete the enrollment process.
