All Apple devices including iPhones are now super smart; New OS updates announced

Apple released the latest OS updates for its devices at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2024), one of Apple's important annual events. iOS 18 for iPhones, iPadOS 18 for iPads, and WatchOS 11 for Apple Watches have been released. Unlike last year's WWDC, this year's WWDC focused entirely on software updates instead of hardware announcements. It was also accompanied by the announcement of Apple Intelligence, introducing AI features to iPhones and Macs.

Apple's key announcements at WWDC 2024 include Apple Intelligence and iOS 18. iOS 18 comes with features that take the quality of smartphones to the next level. Advanced customization is present in the new iOS 18. Now, users can customize their iPhones with new wallpapers, icons, and widgets.

The new OS will allow users to trigger dark mode with the tap of a button. Apple announced that the iOS 18 developer beta will be available starting today, with the public beta coming in July, and the stable version when the iPhone 16 series launches.

In the new OS, adding more shortcuts to the lock screen to open an app directly without unlocking the iPhone or when it is unlocked is possible. Also, the new OS allows you to secure all the apps on the phone with FaceID lock and hide some apps.

The iOS 18 update also brings new filters to quickly find the photos you want from thousands of photos on your phone. And swiping right from the photos grid will now show a new carousel of "best-clicked images" from your image library.

The new iOS 18 brings RCS image support, new emoji reactions in iMessage, and text effects to iMessage. Not only the interface and apps, Apple's assistant Siri is also upgraded to become more conversational with the new iOS 18. Best of all, Siri will now understand gestures.

Siri and Gestures: One of the interesting changes introduced by iOS 18 is gesture support in Siri. For example, if you get a call and hands-free mode is enabled on Siri, when it asks you if you want to answer the call, you can shake your head to the side and decline without saying a word!

Watch OS 11: Apple announced the new Watch OS 11 at the WWDC event. It brings many new features to improve health and fitness tracking. The new OS for the Apple Watch comes with a new training mode that can measure how intense your workout was and what kind of effect it had on you over time.

The new workout app, which runs on iOS and watchOS, will allow users to set goals based on different days. The new Vitals app allows users to check essential health metrics like heart rate. The update also includes additional information such as gestational age and upper heart rate limit for pregnant users.
