There are some cool features are coming to WhatsApp
WhatsApp is one of the most used apps in the world with over 500 million active users in India alone. WhatsApp is constantly introducing features to improve the instant messaging app users' experience. That's why WhatsApp is often in the news. Now, here WhatsApp is rolling out some new features for Android and iOS versions. Let's see what are the new features released by WhatsApp.
While the current version of WhatsApp allows users to share 30-second voice messages as status updates, a recent report by WABetaInfo suggests that WhatsApp has been upgraded to support voice messages of up to one minute. This is double the previous limit.
The extended voice note length is really helpful for users who share status updates in the form of voice notes as they don't have to split their audio recordings into multiple parts. In the long run, this will save time and make communication more convenient.
Some users with the beta version of WhatsApp for Android and iOS can now set a minute-long voice note as their status. However, you may need to update your WhatsApp to the latest version to listen to these voice notes.
Imagine is another new feature of WhatsApp. Imagine is an AI-powered feature that allows users to create custom images using text prompts. Built on Meta's large language model, this feature is available in the beta version of WhatsApp on Android (version 2.24.12.4). Users can access this feature through the attachment option in the app.
Currently, only users with access to MetaAI chatbots can use the Imagine feature. This includes major regions like the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and other selected regions. WhatsApp is also working on a feature that will allow users to generate AI-powered images as profile photos in the future.
This feature is currently available for users of the latest WhatsApp beta for Android v2.24.11.17 version. This feature is very handy if users don't want to set their photo as a profile picture. It can also protect user privacy.
According to the report, the tool is supposed to appear when users click on the pencil-like edit tab in the profile picture settings. But WhatsApp may give it an avatar-like appearance and place it in a separate tab. It is not clear whether this is the same as Imagine or a separate feature.
New Color Chooser Tool WhatsApp is also working on bringing a feature called color chooser tool for the drawing editor which will be available in a future update. This feature is currently under development. Therefore, as this feature does not appear in any version, more information is not available.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, this updated drawing editor is designed to offer a more user-friendly and simple interface. It improves the experience of drawing tools. This feature allows users to quickly select a specific color from a selected image. This feature is especially useful for users who like aesthetics.
