No more unlimited free, you need money for chat backup on WhatsApp too.

Whatsapp, the most popular messaging app in the globe, is going to be changed. Its policies are changing along with the new features. The terms and conditions related to chat back-ups in Android devices have been updated. It is bad news for somebody who uses WhatsApp as a storage medium, they will be disappointed hearing this news. In terms of the latest updates, the Whatsapp chat back-ups in Google Drive won't be free. The free storage services for Android users will not be there anymore.

The new policy is already applicable to WhatsApp beta users. In a few months, it will be applicable to all users across the globe. The chat backup service in Android will come under Google's 15GB storage limit.  Google accounts promise 15GB of storage space to its customers for Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. Next year onwards Whatsapp chat backup in Android devices will come under this limit.

The blog post indicates that ''Google's storage management tools will help the users in order to optimize their storage and exclude the bigger files in it''.  Google suggests it is better to delete the WhatsApp media in order to open more cloud storage. The users who want to claim more storage need to pay for Google's one storage.
