The new search bar feature is coming to make it easier for users to use WhatsApp while protecting their privacy. WhatsApp is preparing to introduce the option to search and find people using their usernames, Wabetainfo reported.

People can now be searched and found on WhatsApp using their phone number. But with the option to search by username, people can connect with friends and contacts efficiently without a number, reports Wabetainfo.

Wabetainfo also shared a screenshot of the new feature that will allow you to search for people by name, username, and phone number. The upcoming feature is said to allow users to create a username. Those who don't want to reveal their phone number can create a username.

Others can contact him using this username. Here you don't need their phone number to contact someone on WhatsApp. This feature is expected to be very useful for people who want privacy. There is no need to fear things like misusing the number here.

Username configuration is completely optional. In other words, if people like it, they only need to create a username. Or you can proceed using the phone number itself in the current way. Decision-making is left to the user. The user has full control over the username.

According to the report, users will also have the option to create, remove, or change their username at any time, giving the user complete control over this feature. This feature ensures that users can adjust privacy settings according to their preferences and needs.

The feature to search username in the search bar is still under development. This feature is expected to be introduced in a future update of WhatsApp. It is currently unclear whether this feature will be available on Android and iOS. However, the username feature is the most eagerly awaited upcoming WhatsApp feature!

WhatsApp, which is constantly introducing new features for its users, recently launched the Secret Code feature. It's just getting to people. Locked personal chats can be hidden a little more powerfully and securely with a secret code. The secret code will act as a password to access the secret chats.

The Secret Code feature allows users to generate a secret code for locked chats. Later, you can see the locked chats only by entering this secret code correctly in the search bar of WhatsApp. Chats on other linked devices can also be locked in this way.

Drag down the chat screen to see the locked chats. From there enter the secret code and open the chat you want to hide. Then click on the three-dot menu. Under the Chat Lock Settings tab, turn on the 'Hide locked chats' option. Then generate the secret code.

You should enter some number or symbols that are easy to remember because the lock chats will be lost if the number has to be reset. Once the number is entered, the locked chats will disappear from the main chat window. Then you need to enter the secret code in the search bar to view these locked chats.
